LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Palo Verde High School was on lockdown for nearly an hour this morning when Metro received a phone report a possible person with a gun in the area near the school.
"Metro checked it out and could not find a person with a gun," Metro Officer Larry Hadfield told News 3. "A phone call came in about a possible person with a gun in the 800 block of South Pavilion Center. We responded and could not find a person with a gun. It was not on the school campus."
Because of police activity in the area, the school was put on lockdown from about 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., said Michael Rodriguez of the Clark County School District.
