An unidentified woman and man are dead. Their bodies were found shortly before 10 p.m. Friday about 3 miles east of Hollywood Boulevard in the far northeast area of Las Vegas.
Metro reported that at about 9:45 p.m. patrol officers responded to a desert area near East Lake Mead Boulevard Hollywood Boulevard to investigate a report of a male lying outside of a vehicle and a female inside of the vehicle who appeared to be deceased.
Arriving officers found the male and female who died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Homicide detectives learned that at about 7 p.m. the Dispatch Center had received a call about a female who had been taken from her home in the 300 block of Steelhead Lane, by her ex-boyfriend.
Patrol officers as well as domestic violence detectives were investigating when the bodies were discovered.
Detectives determined the people and the vehicle were the subjects of the earlier call to police. The preliminary investigation into the incident indicates an apparent domestic related murder-suicide.
