LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Metro police have arrested a man for stealing two wheelchairs outside the front of a house last week.
Uber Flores is facing one count of grand larceny and two counts of possession of stolen property.
Nathan Peitz and Sean Thomas both have spina bifida and depend on wheelchairs to get around.
They told News 3 that they found part of the chairs at a nearby scrap metal facility, which took a picture of the suspect’s ID when he sold it for $3.75.
Peitz and Thomas estimate that each custom chair is worth $4,000.
