Motorcyclist becomes 31st Metro traffic fatality in 2013

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A 53-year-old man has become the 31st traffic fatality within Metro's jurisdiction this year.

The man was killed about 5:40 p.m. Saturday near Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road in the eastern part of the valley when a 1994 Acura Integra driven by 56-year-old Patricia Williams exited a private driveway at 3210 S. Nellis and traveled west across the northbound lane of Nellis in front of the path of a 1996 Harley Davidson Road King.

The front of the Harley struck the left side of teh Acura and the driver was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Williams was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center with moderate injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by Metro.
