LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A Las Vegas man has become the 12th traffic accident victim in Metro's jurisdiction after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit guy wires supporting a power pole late Saturday night.

Chad Anderson, 41, apparently lost control of his 2000 Harley Davidson while traveling eastbound on East Bonanza Road near 7th Street.

Metro said the road makes a slight bend at that point and Anderson failed to maintain his travel lane and ran off the right side of the road at the 7th Street intersection. The motorcycle continued through a vacant lot and struck a set of guy wires anchoring a power pole. The rider fell to the ground near the guy wires and the Harley continued eastbound and came to rest on its side in the middle of 9th Street south of Bonanza Road.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by Metro's accident investigation section.
