NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A North Las Vegas officer fired at a fleeing car this afternoon during a short police pursuit. Nobody was injured.

Officer Chrissie Coon said the pursuit began about 3:30 p.m. when a car that was wanted in a previous armed home invasion was spotted by officers.

The pursuit, which lasted about two blocks, included an officer firing his gun at least once.

The pursuit ended on Broadway near Pecos and Carey when the car crashed into a fence. The suspect ran into the house. Police then got the residents out of the house and were able to arrest an unidentified man.

"He was not a relative to anybody in the home and they did not know him," Coon told News3.

The incident is under investigation, Coon said.
