LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Clark County voters cast ballots in record numbers during the two-week early voting period that ended Friday.
With early votes and absentee mail-in ballots totaled, 485,363 Clark County voters cast ballots through Friday evening. That is 57 percent of the county's 851,803 registered voters.
In the 2010 election, 35 percent of registered voters made their choices known early. That year, 736,663 voters were registered in the county and 258,283 voted early. There were 33,841 absentee mail-in votes.
For the state of Nevada, 701,845 early and absentee votes were cast this year, 56 percent of the registered 1,257,621 voters.
Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Unlike early voting when voters can vote at any early voting location, voters must cast ballots in their precinct on Tuesday.
