Suspect sought in beating, theft near Nellis, Charleston

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a man suspected of hitting a clerk and robbing a convenience store near Charleston and Nellis.

According to a Metro news release, the suspect entered the store around 5:45 p.m. June 8, punched the clerk, took money and fled.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6-1 and 185 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a doo rag, a red tank top over a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Section at (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.

Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
