NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A 41-year-old North Las Vegas man has been arrested in connection with the April murder of his 24-year-old wife.
Jarom Boyes was arrested Tuesday, according to a news release by the North Las Vegas Police Department.
According to officers, they responded about 11:30 p.m. April 6 to the 800 block of Whitetail Archery Avenue to a report of suicide.
They found Melissa Boyes, 24, dead from a single gunshot wound. It was reported that she shot herself after an argument with her husband. Evidence suggested that the woman died under suspicious circumstances and detectives continued investigating her death as a homicide.
The investigation revealed that the victim and her husband began arguing while they were out with friends, according to the news release.
When they returned home the argument turned physical. Evidence suggested that during the physical altercation Jarom allegedly shot his wife.
He has been arrested for one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Las Vegas City Jail.
