PAHRUMP (KSNV MyNews3) – Detectives with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man suspected of being a methamphetamine trafficker.
According to a release from the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, a confidential informant said that Roque Lara-Aguilar, also known as Jorge Garcia and who went by the nickname “Rocky,” was on his way to Pahrump on Wednesday to supply methamphetamine.
As Lara-Aguilar’s vehicle traveled into Pahrump to meet with the informant, NCSO personnel conducted a traffic stop, and he was detained.
After a search warrant was obtained, Detective Trevor Meade discovered 13 individually packaged bags of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Also, a cell phone that Lara-Aguilar utilized during the investigation had phone numbers for many Pahrump-area meth dealers.
Lara-Aguilar also said that he was in the United States illegally.
