PAHRUMP (KSNV MyNews3) – Nye County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking the public’s help on a cold-case disappearance from 2006.
On Feb. 15, 2006, Maureen Fields failed to show up for work at a Wells Fargo bank. She has not been seen since.
Detectives found her vehicle shortly after her disappearance in the desert just outside of Pahrump in Inyo County.
Two months ago, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Forensic Laboratory said that the male DNA profile found on the pantyhose within Fields’ vehicle belonged to Keith Holmes, an 81-year-old registered sex offender from Pearblossom, Calif. Holmes is in a California jail.
An investigation showed that Holmes began traveling to Pahrump around 2006 and usually traveled in his 1965 Ford camper.
Detectives are asking anyone who knows Holmes or recognizes him or his vehicle to contact Nye County Detectives at 775-751-7000. Information also can be submitted confidentially to
