HENDERSON (Las Vegas Sun) -- A Henderson Olive Garden caught fire Thursday, forcing employees and patrons enjoying mid-afternoon meals to evacuate.
The Henderson Fire Department received reports of smoke in the restaurant’s equipment room along the back wall around 2 p.m. Henderson Fire Chief Steve Goble said light smoke had wafted into the main restaurant floor, causing patrons and employees to evacuate.
Henderson Fire arrived at 4400 E. Sunset Rd. to find smoke emitting from the back of the restaurant, while patrons and employees waited outside. Goble said firefighters found smoke and flames inside the walls along the back of the restaurant.
Clark County Fire was called to assist around 2:15 p.m., and the fire was extinguished a short time later.
Goble said Henderson Fire is investigating to determine the cause of the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
