LAS VEGAS -- Metro police are investigating reports of an officer involved shooting which occurred near the 2400 block of East Desert Inn Road.
The incident took place around 2 p.m. today. Reports indicate a homeless man was shot by a gunman behind a business. Police arrived and chased the suspect and exchanged gunfire.
According to Metro, the suspected gunman has died. There is no information regarding the police officer's condition.
