LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The sights and sounds of Christmas have turned into the fright and fun of Halloween at the magic forest put on by Opportunity Village, and Amanda Mitchell, the Magical Forest event director, thinks it's going to be an amazing hit.

Guests can walk through a massive creature in an attraction called the Haunted Adventure, and they will never know what might be lurking around each corner. But organizers say this haunted excursion is focused more on the family-fun than fright.

“It's very family-friendly,” Mitchell said. “We're calling it a ‘barely scary’ Halloween event.

Instead of Halloween, it's called HallOVeen, the OV standing for Opportunity Village. The organization is the largest employer and loudest supporter of people with disabilities in our community.

Another attraction at the event is Boris the Elf's 3D maze, where guests get their glasses at the door and experience HallOVeen in 3D.

Though it's the first year for HallOVeen, you'll still get to enjoy the attractions you've come to know at the magical forest, including the putt-putt golf course, the caravan, the train, the slides and the great food.

The event, which has about eight attractions in all, is one organizers say wouldn't be possible without a lot of support.

“If it wasn't for the love people have for this organization and this event, this wouldn't be possible,” Mitchell said. “So we're always so grateful people are make it happen.”

It's an exciting time rolling out this HallOVeen and many more spooky ones to come.
