Q: Does insurance cover any procedures, or would I be on my own in paying for them?

A: Insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery. This means you would be financing the surgery yourself, often there are financing options. Insurance-covered procedures are generally reconstructive surgery. This includes breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, traumatic injuries to the face or body, rashes or infections due to sagging skin or large breasts, and many other medical conditions.
