PAHRUMP (KSNV My News3.com) -- A 39-year-old Pahrump man is being held on charges of lewdness with a minor and possession of child poronography. Nye County Sheriff's Department deputies say he admitted to the lewd act with an 11-year-old.
Chris Jon Rossitto was arrested Saturday on charges of lewdness with a minor child under age 14 and possession of child pornography. He is being held at the Nye County Detention Center with bail set at $15,000.
Nye COunty Detective Mike Eisenloffel said in a written statement that an investigation began in August after the department received information that Rossitto had molested an 11-year-old in Pahrump. Eisenloffel's statement said that Rossitto admitted to the lewd act and provided additional information which later led to a search of Rossitto's home and the discovery of child pornography.
Eisenloffel said detectives are checking several leads and the investigation is continuing. Anybody with information is urged to contact the Nye County Sheriff's office at (775) 751-7000.
