Anyone who has spent much time walking along the Strip could tell you that pedestrians need more space. And they needed it a decade ago. As for making the sidewalks accessible, here is a discussion of the Americans with Disabilities Act and sidewalks, including the Barden v. It's not an insignificant issue if you are the one with a disability.

So this is the study that the city and county spent 500 thousand dollars on!!!!! Are you kiddin me?? All they had top do was go down there for a couple of days in a group just like a family. One of the idiots could of taken notes!!!! But no, they had to spend half a million dollars for someone else to go down there and walk around!!!!!! Time to get rid of our commissioners who are too lazy and stupid to do something themselves!!! I do believe we pay them, but yet they pay someone else to take care of the problems!!! If they are too afraid to get thier hands dirty, then it's time for a recall!!! Time to get some people in here who walk the walk!!!!!!

Don't forget that the Handicap spend money in town also and in order to spend their money they need good access. So if you never been in a wheelchair in crowds or walked the path of the handicap you will never no what advantages or disavantages exist. I for one thru the years have been on crutches twice for a total period of a year and halvle and also due to leg injury walked with a cane for five years and no the problems the disable face. As for complaing this country would never of been formed if our forefathers werent complaining. As for tax money, look at how much tax money is lost by allowing these street vendors on the pedestrian bridges selling sun glasses and water, are they collecting sells tax on their sales? Do they have buisness license? Do they pay income tax? So we are loosing tax money on these sidewalk obsticles I think so. So I urge everyone to one day walk the walk of a disabled person if you have a friend or relative in a wheelchair push or walk with them the entire length of the strip. Get the feel of what its like perhaps put some pebbles in your shoes for the day and know what someone wiht walking problems may feel like. For someday you yourself or a Love one may be disabled and finally face the challenge of moving thru a crowd dodging not only the people not paying attention but also the obsticles in the sidewalks, crosswalks and streets. So until you walk the walk of the Disabled please do not judge them or their rights to safely go down a street.

Get outta here! There's nothing wrong with the Strip or the sidewalks! Learn this: Life is sometimes difficult (and that's relative). Thank God you live in, or have the wherewithal to visit, such an awesome city with sidewalks instead of dusty/muddy paths. Do the world a favor: Stop complaining and stop wasting critically-needed taxpayer money on such insignificant, politically correct issues.
