LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- One year after the murder of local 17-year-old Betty Pinkney, police have made an arrest in the case.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Demetrius Black who now faces murder charges.
Police say in January of last year, Black and several friends were kicked out of a house party after a fight.
The group returned to the house a short time later and sprayed random gunfire.
Two people were hit including Betty Pinkney who later died from her injuries.
Pinkney's father says he's grateful that justice is being served.
According to the police report officers were able to link Black to a gun used in a robbery after the robbery suspects told police that he sold it to them.
