LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Metro Detectives have made an arrest in the pet store burglaries reported earlier this week and recovered a French Bulldog and 3 Bearded Dragons.
The suspect, a minor was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of possession of stolen property.
Following this arrest, detectives were notified that a citizen returned two Siberian Huskies taken during a third and separate incident.
On February 1 detectives were contacted by a concerned citizen reporting that her husband had recently bought 2 exotic birds from an unknown male. Detectives later learned that in three exotic birds were purchased from this unknown male. The three birds have returned to their owner.
Detectives are asking for any information which may lead to the recovery of the remaining animals.
Still missing are a white French Bulldog puppy, a gray Schnauzer puppy, a black Yorkshire Terrier puppy, a yellow and orange Macaw, and three bearded dragon reptiles.
Detectives are also attempting to locate a person of interest identified as 23-year-old Juan Carlos Vasquez. He is described as a Hispanic male adult in his early 20’s.
