LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place on Swenson near Desert Inn at 12:40 a.m.
Police say several people called 9-1-1 and reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. They also told dispatchers that they saw several people run away.
Metro dispatch received calls reporting several gunshots heard in the area of the 3500 hundred block of Swenson Street.
Patrol officers responded to the area and located a male on the ground that appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
The preliminary investigation indicates a group of males and females were arguing prior to the gunshots and were seen running from the area.
LVMPD Special Weapons and Tactics was requested to assist with service of a search warrant. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
