HENDERSON (KSNV MyNews3) – Two people are in jail after Metro and Henderson police raid a grow house.
The house is near Arroyo Grande and Warm Springs in Henderson.
Police found 186 plants in the residence with an approximate street value of $558,000.
Ezekiel Parraez, 29, and Candice Blackwell, 28, both of Henderson, were arrested in connection with this illicit grow operation. Parraz used to be an assistant baseball coach at College of Southern Nevada.
“The college and I are surprised and saddened by this news,” CSN athletic director Marc Morse said in a statement. “Assistant baseball coach Zeke Parraz' part-time contract with the college expired, as is customary, May 31, and he is not currently employed at CSN. This matter must now proceed through the court system.”
Metro says the duo were renting the house, but that it is also looking for the owners of the house, who they consider possible suspects.
