LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Each year at this time the price of gas increases and around the valley the cost of filling up is beginning to get painful. We're watching it carefully, because our valley is just beginning to recover from the recession.

Experts say our local economy can't afford a big hit. We don't have a crystal ball but some experts say this could be a spring and summer for the oil record books.

News 3's Marissa Mike has more on the rising gas prices and why we are seeing this increase now.

The recovery is coming to an end. Consumers will need to make cut to other spending in order to fill their tanks. This exact scenario happen last year at this same time. Obama does not have a cure for the economy, and never will. Obama's idea of spending tax dollars to cure the economy is only prolonging the agony and allows situations like higher gas prices to just derail any sort of recovery. We have to let the American consumers, corporations and businesses to get the nation back on the right track. Obama help the American consumers, they are the ones that drive the economy.
