Remember five 'P's" to prepare for freezing temperatures

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- This weekend marks the first time in more than a year where valley temperatures dip below freezing levels.

News 3’s Michelle Velez offers some important tips to get through the cold.

Las Vegas does not hit these cold and freezing temperatures levels very often, but when the temperature drops, it gets cold by desert standards.

That why it's so it's important people take precautions he easiest way to remember the important stuff is by thinking about the five “P's” -- protect people, pets, pipes, plants and practice fire safety.
