Road trip to Arizona proves beneficial for Nevada lawmakers

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews 3) -- In Nevada, people can use medical marijuana but there's no way to legally get it.

State lawmakers want to fix this loophole. Lawmakers took a bipartisan trip to Arizona on Friday, to see that state's medical marijuana law in action.

News 3 was the only television station to go with them and Marissa Mike was the reporter covering the trip.

Bill Myer, owner of Arizona Organix telling five Nevada senators and an assemblywoman the good the bad and the ugly of Arizona's newly implemented medical marijuana system.

Nevada lawmakers traveled to Phoenix for what they called a fact-finding mission to gain valuable insight into what could be done to fix the silver state's problem-ridden program.

Medical marijuana users here can get a license, but can't get the drug. Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle weighed in.
