NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE - Rugby teams, in Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Invitational Tournament, will be here Wednesday to host a military training session and a clinic for children.
The event will be held at the Warrior Fitness Center.
A clinic for children ages 5 to 18 will be held from noon to 2 p.m. An active-duty clinic will be held for all skill levels from 2 to 3 p.m., and a meet-and-greet will take place from 3 to 3:30 p.m.
Special guests will include Ben Golings, the No. 1 rugby player in the world. He plays for England Sevens and will be conducting the active-duty clinic. Vaha Esikia and the Las Vegas Rugby Academy will facilitate the children's clinic. Esikia is a member of the USA Sevens and plays center.
There will also be 30 rugby players from the U.S. Air Force's team; 15 rugby players from the U.S. Air Force Academy's team; 12 rugby players from the U.S. Army's team; and 12 rugby players from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard team. Coaches from all the services also will be present at this event.
