LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Metro and the Clark County School District say they've noticed many rumors of threats today on the last day of school before students go to winter break.
They're saying parents have nothing to worry about today, but they're taking every precaution.
As students go into the last day of school before winter break, some parents and families say they've been concerned enough to keep their kids home.
Students across the district say they've heard whispers of threats of violence in their schools.
CCSD police and Metro say they caught wind quickly and say parents have nothing to worry about, although they are not taking any chances and will have extra safety out today.
They say they're investigating the source of these rumors and they think social media has only perpetuated it.
