School locked down after shots fired on Maryland near Katie

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Las Vegas Metro officers are searching for a person suspected of shooting off rounds in a parking lot this afternoon in the 3800 block of Maryland Parkway near Katie.

There is a report of one person being in a leg. Metro says the injury could have been a ricochet from a bullet.

The suspect left on a dark-colored scooter wearing a ski mask and helmet.

Orr Middle School is on lockdown at this time.

"Being in a leg"? Don't the writers or editors check work before it's posted? We wonder why our children do not read or write properly, when the adults who are PAID to write can not even write properly!
