Search and rescue volunteers look for missing girl

Red Rock Search and Rescue are a great team. I have to agree with Hiking Rocks you shouldn't decry people when you have no clue on what your talking about.

@Grits, you have a valid point but also know that Red Rock Search, Rescue and Recovery is less than a year old and it's is made of dedicated men and woman from the LV valley who go out on their own time and dime to help others. Matter of fact they have located the last two drowning victims this past summer and a hiker on Mt. Charleston. Many of these volunteers are already law enforcement officers and professionals from other LV agencies. It's pretty sad you would decry people helping people. Get a clue because it's about helping people in a time of need.

Please understand while this is a very horrific case there are only two search force non-profit organizatins used by Metro. All others have not had Metro background cheks nor have they been trained by Metro. Our two terrific non-profits are Nevada Child Seekers and Nevada Center For Missing Loved Ones. These two organization have a trusting and long standing relationship with Metro. These two organizations also have had every employee and volunteer search force member go through a complete criminal background by Metro. metro also conducts trainings for these two non-profit organizations. All other so called "search force" non-profits have who ever wants to help like a criminal or someone who has no business conducting searches of potiental crime scenes. Please know when you see "search force" organization such as Nevada Child Seekers or Nevada Center For Missing Loved Ones, you know these volunteers have criminal backgrounds completed by Metro and search force training conducted by Metro. A mindful volunteer.....
