LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Several men are being arrested by Metro this afternoon after a morning burglary attempt resulted in two men being stabbed.

"It looks like it was a burglary attempt and at least four men who have been identified are going to be arrested," Metro Lt. Les Lane said this afternoon. "They all entered the apartment with the intent to commit a burglary."

The incident happened about 9:30 a.m. at the Oak Tree Apartments on Lake Mead Boulevard near Lamb in the northeast part of the valley.

Lane said one man of the intruders was stabbed in the torso and was taken to UMC Trauma while the man who lived in the apartment suffered a minor arm wound.

"We are hearing that the man taken to UMC has injuries that are not life-threatening," Lane said. "He is being arrested along with several others."

Investigators were continuing their investigation this afternoon, Lane said.
