WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (KSNV — Colorado authorities have recaptured a man wanted on a murder charge in Illinois who escaped while being transported from Las Vegas.

Police say 37-year-old Turhan Robinson escaped from a private inmate transport service at a truck stop in the Denver suburb of Wheat Ridge early Friday. He was found a half-mile away hiding in a cemetery.

Robinson, 37, was identified as a suspect in a homicide that involved a shooting and a police chase in Madison, Ill.

Information was developed that Robinson fled to the Las Vegas Valley, and he was arrested May 28 in the vicinity of East Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane.
