LOS ANGELES (KSNV MyNews3) – The suspect in the deadly shooting on the Strip near Flamingo is fighting extradition to Las Vegas.
Lawyers for Ammar Harris said this morning in a Los Angeles County courtroom that they want prosecutors to prove his identity before heading to Las Vegas.
The judge set a hearing for March 14.
Harris is the man suspected of shooting Kenny Cherry Jr. after an argument in the valet area of the Aria on Feb. 21, causing Cherry’s Maserati to crash into a cab that exploded, killing driver Michael Boldon, 62, of Las Vegas and passenger Sandra Sutton-Wasmund, 48, of Maple Valley, Wash.
