LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Now that the sale of the Las Vegas 51's is official, the attention has turned to the proposed ballpark in Summerlin.

The team's new owners want to build a $60 million state-of-the-art triple-a ballpark out near Red Rock Resort.

The big question, as it always is with any stadium: who pays for it? News 3's Gerard Ramalho joins us live from the proposed site.

We know the players have big league dreams but the Las Vegas 51's new owners have some dreams of their own.
Namely, a new 9,000-seat ballpark right in the heart of Summerlin.

"The hurdle is talking with 3 municiplalities and get them on board and just really kind of quantify the benefits for everybody," said new 51’s owner Steve Mack.

The proposed $58 million ballpark would be located just east of Red Rock resort. It would be similar to the new Aces ballpark in Reno and would be situated next to an urban village that would feature shops, dining and other entertainment.
