LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The woman linked to the disappearance of a 10-year-old girl had her bond raised to $600,000 this morning in a Las Vegas courtroom.
Brenda Stokes Wilson, 50, had been in custody since Dec. 21 for an attack on a co-worker at the Bellagio. She was also the last person seen with Jade Morris, the daughter of her then-boyfriend, Philip Morris.
A body was discovered Thursday afternoon in the northeast part of the valley. A Metro spokesman said while they could not confirm it was Jade’s body, they suspected it was her.
Prosecutor Robert Daskas argued for the raised bond because of expected addition of murder and kidnapping charges.
Daskas also said blood on the steering wheel, driver’s side door handle and panel of the car Stokes Wilson borrowed will be linked to Jade. Daskas also said there likely was a weapon used in the crime, and there were bloody clothes found at Stokes Wilson’s apartment.
