LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas Sun) — A suspect in the attempted robbery of Huntington’s Jewelry was arrested after he went to a hospital to seek treatment for multiple gunshot wounds.

He was identified by Metro Police Friday as Antwjan McClelland.

Around 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, McClelland and another suspect went into the jewelry store located at 7385 W. Sahara Ave. near Tenaya Way, Metro Police said, and demanded cash from the cash register.

McClelland, who police said was wielding a gun, was shot multiple times in the arm by an employee and the suspect returned fire. That’s when the two suspects fled.

About 30 minutes later, police said, McClelland was admitted to Sunrise Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds to his arm.

Police said the other suspect is still at large and described him as a black man standing about 5 foot 9, and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a white baseball cap and white shoes, police said.

Police believe a third suspect may have been involved.

Police said McClelland was charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary while in possession of a firearm.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

These are the kinds of NEWS ARTICALS we like to read about. Home Invader shot by home owner. bank robber, robbed of his life as he attempted to rob a bank. More stuff about how guns work when used by law abiding citizens would be great.

The jewelry store employee didn't aim towards the head!!! I wish it was me because he wouldn't be going to the hospital for a wound to his arm, he would be going to the hospital inside a black bag heading to the morgue!!!

Just one more reason among thousands why Obama has no right trying to restrict or take legal gun owners gun rights. Bet money the suspects were not legal gun owners! To bad the store employee did not finish the job. Would have save the tax payers allot of money. Now the tax payers will have to pay this criminals hospital bills and his incarceration!
