HENDERSON (KSNV MyNews3) -- Two men accused of kidnapping a local teen from her home and holding her for ransom made their first appearance in a Henderson courtroom this morning.
The hearing was rather brief. An interpreter was brought in to translate what was happening during the hearing for Ceasar Sanchez, 25, and Alejandro Manuel Sanchez-Sanchez, 30.
They face kidnapping, extortion and conspiracy charges and are accused of kidnapping 17-year-old Melissa Duran Friday morning from her front door.
Police found her Saturday morning in a nearby apartment unharmed.
The judge ruled the two will still be held without bond because they've been placed on an immigration hold.
Local immigration attorney Jon Eric Gard, says the hold simply means there are questions regarding their immigration status.
In the meantime, they will go through criminal process. Their attorney will decide whether to go to trial or plea out.
After the outcome, immigration officials will then decide what's next for the men.
