LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A bank on the west side of the city was the target of two crime incidents Wednesday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that two suspects attempted to cash fraudulent checks around 5:17 p.m., using fictitious identification at a bank inside a grocery store in the 10000 block of West Flamingo Road. They left without obtaining any money.
Both suspects are described as Hispanic males, 18 to 22 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-8, with medium builds.
One had a star tattoo on his earlobe and was last seen wearing a football jersey and dark cap. The other suspect has with a ponytail, and a tattoo on his right forearm of an unknown picture in black, gray and red ink. He was last seen wearing a dark, button-up shirt and dark pants.
Around 5:55 p.m., the same bank was the target of a take-over robbery when two suspects jumped over the counter as employees were preparing to close.
An employee was grabbed by the suspects and forced to give them money. Once receiving money, the suspects fled in a silver, four-door sedan.
The robbery suspects are described as Hispanic or black males, 18 to 22 years old, 5-5 to 5-8, with medium builds. Both suspects were wearing hoodies and masks.
