LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Three people were displaced and two pets died after a fire this morning near Warm Springs Road and Valley View Boulevard.

According to a news release from the Clark County Fire Department, firefighters were called to the single-family house in the 7400 block of Schuster Street at 3:11 a.m. The fire was knocked down about a half-hour later.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, however, it appears that a fire that was in the fireplace spread into the home and then to the attic.

The damage estimate is $150,000. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents.
