LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) –
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said two people have been arrested in connection to a fatal assault near a convenience store.
Genaro Padilla Jr., 30, and Kenneth Glosson, 56, both of Las Vegas, are being held in connection to this crime.
Police say that about 5:40 p.m. Monday, the Metro Dispatch Center received a call of a person being beaten by at least two other subjects on the sidewalk in the 700 block of East Twain Avenue.
Arriving patrol officers located an adult male lying on the sidewalk suffering apparent stab wounds and blunt force trauma. The victim was transported by arriving medical personnel to Sunrise Trauma Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives learned that the victim had been involved in an altercation with a clerk at a nearby convenience store.
Padilla was identified as a clerk in the store at the time of the altercation.
Padilla and Glosson are now at the Clark County Detention Center, facing one count of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
