Video released of man suspected of sexual assault

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released a surveillance video of a man suspected of a violent sexual assault Sept. 1 near the 3000 block of Joe W. Brown while she was making her way back to her hotel room.

The victim was found by security after being observed running frantically down a roadway, barefoot yelling for help. Moments later the suspect was captured on video fleeing in the opposite direction.

The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where she was treated for her injuries and released.

As a result of the investigation, detectives located additional video surveillance of the suspect walking on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Riviera Hotel and Casino before the sexual assault.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing approximately 5-foot-7, about 190 pounds with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray, long-sleeve button-down dress shirt over a white T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
