LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – An elderly woman died early Tuesday morning after being involved in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon at Cheyenne Avenue and the northbound U.S. 95 off-ramp.
According to a release from the Nevada Highway Patrol, Lupe M. Rangel, 81, of Las Vegas was eastbound on Cheyenne in the right lane just before 12:50 p.m. when her 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass ran a red light and struck a silver Dodge Ram pickup, which was entering Cheyenne from the left-turn lane.
NHP found Rangel unconscious and unresponsive. She was transported to Mountain View Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 12:40 a.m.
