LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A woman was rescued this morning after a vehicle she was driving plunged 40 feet into a flood wash near Symphony Park Avenue off northbound Interstate 15.
Tim Szymanski of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said the car flew off from the parking area behind the tent off Symphony Park Avenue into the wash, about 60 feet out from where it left the ground.
The vehicle ended up on all four wheels. There were no life-threatening injuries to the driver, just cuts and scrapes.
She called 9-1-1 herself, describing the large billboard above her. That is how a motorcycle officer from Metro found her.
He called her cell and kept asking her to describe things until he was able to find her which is on private property, not visible from any of the main roads.
