LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a girl has died of her injuries after an accident at a sledding area northwest of Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson says officials were called to the Foxtail Mountain sledding area a little before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Hixson says the girl was airlifted to University Medical Center, where she later died of her injuries.
The girl's age was not immediately clear. Her identity has not yet been released.
The sledding area is located on Lee Canyon Road in the Mount Charleston area.
