Drivers, pedestrians urged to pay attention around schools

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The Clark County School District’s annual traffic safety event was conducted this morning at Dean Petersen Elementary School.

The event focused on safety and awareness for drivers and pedestrians, with the goal of increasing school zone safety.

Clark County School District Board Trustee Patrice Tew, along with officers from Metro and the CCSD Police Department, participated along with Petersen students.

A variety of safety issues involving children and traffic centered on school zone speed limits and traffic laws.
