LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) — A Clark County grand jury indicted a woman accused of killing her pregnant sister-in-law and unborn child.

Elinor Indico, 30, faces charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon; manslaughter by killing unborn quick child; and child abuse, neglect or endangerment; in the Oct. 16 stabbing death of Ashley Indico, 26, in the 2800 block of North Rancho Drive, near North Decatur Boulevard. She is now being held without bond. Her next court appearance will be 9 a.m. Nov. 19.

The district attorney’s office said the reason to request no bail was that the suspect had offered an interview confessing to the crime and the victim had suffered 14 stab wounds.

Deputy Public Defender Norm Reed, who was assigned to represent Indico, said on Oct. 22 that the case looks like self-defense. Indico sustained stomach wounds that she told police she received fighting Ashley Indico for the knife.
