Two found dead after morning house fire in Henderson

HENDERSON (KSNV – Two people were found dead this morning at a house fire near Burkholder Boulevard and Center Street.

According to a Henderson news release, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Henderson Fire Department responded to a reported house fire around 2:30 a.m. on Armstrong Circle in Henderson.

The first engine arrived within five minutes to find heavy smoke and fire showing from a single window at the front of the structure. The initial arriving officer organized an offensive attack and quickly extinguished the fire.

Fire crews immediately began a life search and discovered two bodies. The deceased are an adult male and an adult female. The cause of death and identity of the deceased will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

The fire originated in the living room of the home. The fire investigator has listed the cause of the fire as undetermined and is still under investigation. No foul play is suspected.

A city building inspector, NV Energy, Southwest Gas and units from the Henderson Police Department assisted at the scene.
