Henderson officer wounded, suspect killed after shooting

HENDERSON (KSNV – One Henderson police officer was wounded and a suspect is dead after a shooting this morning near Horizon Ridge Parkway and South Gibson Road.

Henderson Police Public Information Officer Kathleen Richards says police received reports of a shooting around 4:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Flat Plains Avenue. Upon arrival, the male suspect wounded an officer. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital and is in “good and stable condition,” according to Richards.

Officers then fired on the suspect, killing him.
