LAS VEGAS -- Members of the LVMPD Victim Services Detail, along with the Community Coalition for Victims Rights, will co-sponsor an event highlighting the many services available within the valley to victims of crime.

This year’s event, “Celebrating the Journey from Victim to Survivor” takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and is timed to coincide with National Crime Victim’s Right’s Week, which continues through Saturday.

The event will be held at Firefighters Memorial Park, 6401 W. Oakey Blvd. The evening will include an exhibition of unique art created by crime survivors and a community agency resource fair, along with an awards and entertainment program.
