LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) —
The close-knit law enforcement family and the entire community remain in mourning after two officers and a civilian were killed Sunday.
As a precaution, Metro, Nevada Highway Patrol, North Las Vegas and Henderson police doubled up their presence, increasing the number of officers on the streets.

Many of those officers and hundreds more were at a vigil Monday night at Stewart and Nellis, outside the Cici's Pizza restaurant where Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck were killed in cold blood. They also paid tribute to Joseph Wilcox, who was shot to death inside the Walmart nearby.
Those gathered honored the victims through song and prayer.
Stacie Wichman-Roach, wife of a Metro officer, delivered several arrangements of flowers to the memorial.
“I hope it helps them know we love them and care about them and want to acknowledge their grief and what they're going through,” she said.
For Sheree Burns, this vigil takes a whole new meaning. She says she was in the pizza restaurant when shots were fired.
“I'm trying to make sense of what I saw,” she said. “One minute I was eating my salad, and the next minute an officer is dead for no reason, two of them.”
Burns says she's receiving counseling from her church and was at the vigil to mourn and as a way to express what she's feeling.
