LAS VEGAS (KSNV — The roommate of a person killed after a standoff with SWAT and Metro talks about the decision to call the police.

Dale (who chose to go by his first name only) said the behavior of Travis Doering, 40, changed drastically over the past few weeks.

“He was sleep deprivation, hallucinating, doing speed,” he said. “He was very scary. You can just look in his eyes and tell he was having a very strong problem.”

Doering was killed Tuesday morning by a SWAT officer after leaving his residence near Twain and Lindell armed with a rifle.
