LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The Las Vegas City Council voted to allow medical marijuana deliveries within city limits.

That was just one change the city made to its regulations today. Las Vegas is now one step closer to accepting license applications.

City Council members spent hours carefully combing through these seven proposed changes to their medical marijuana regulations.

They ultimately passed a 27-page bill regulating the industry.

Medical marijuana deliveries will be allowed in Las Vegas, but only to Nevada card holders and only to their homes.

Advertisements are no longer restricted to print and online media.

Businesses can also advertise on radio and television as long as they don't market their products or services to children.

Medical marijuana products may be obtained from anywhere within the state of Nevada, if the business licensing director determines there is a supply shortage. Before this change, medical marijuana could only come from cultivation facilities within Clark County.

The Las Vegas council also voted to limit the sale of medical marijuana from the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

They will begin accepting business permit applications next month.
